I have gotten out of the habit of writing 3 positives a day and a few days ago I felt really low and could see no positives - my partner said to me, who comes into our room and wakes you up every morning with his paw… our dog Sam… is that not a positive? And every evening we sit down together have dinner and then watch a show on tv… is that not a positive? And it really made me think about the little positives in every day and when you add them all up it really makes a difference to your mind-frame.
At the start you may be able to only see one positive in every day but with time the list will grow and the day will be filled with positives that outweigh the negative thoughts from the depression.
